Q: Why should Digital Tinder register the domain instead of me?
A: To be honest, there's nothing stopping you. There are a few things to beware though:
  1. Spammers use the domain info to send loads of spam
  2. Managing DNS can be frustrating
We try to be reasonably priced - when other's were charging R150 for a .com domain we were charging R90.
Q: What domains can you host?
A: I haven't heard of one domain that we can't host yet.
Q: How do I know that I own the domain if I register through you?
A: We will ALWAYS put your name in the "Registrant" details and list your company name in the company details. A few ISP's won't do this because it gives them "more power" over the domain and over you. If there's no record of your name on the domain registration then they can try to withold the domain if you want to change ISP's at a later stage. We do NOT do that. Its your domain, we just facilitate its use.

Domain Registration Costs

Domain Setup Annual Fee Comment
.co.za R25 R75
.org.za R300    If you're a non-profit organisation and can prove it, then the setup fee becomes only R50.
.za.net/.za.org R50 These guys can be a little slow to be created - I've had anything from 1 day to 3 week waiting times for these domains.
.com/.net R25 R90
.biz R25 R90
.co.uk Prices available on request.
Note:
  1. A LOT of domain names have already been registered
  2. Even if you type the address into the browser and get an error message similar to "website not found" or "no such site exits", it does not necessarily mean that the domain is not already registered to someone else. They might just not have a website setup on the domain yet.
  3. Some "domain search" sites are fake and will attempt to register whatever domain you lookup as an attempt to FORCE you to buy the domain from them.
